Advisor: Marti Hearst

Ping's primary research interest is in computer-supported co-operative work, particularly group decision support, discussion systems, hypertext, annotation, and shared knowledge bases. He is also interested in computer security and user interfaces for controlling, understanding, and visualizing security.
