Empirical Study of Prototype Attributes: Fidelity and Medium

A 2 × 2 empirical study of early stage prototype attributes' effects upon user testing results, using the independent variables of prototype fidelity and prototype medium.

Using experimental psychology methods, this study sought to investigate the separate factors of fidelity (low or high) and medium (paper or computer) in terms of their effects upon user test results. We ran 28 user tests in which participants carried out several scenario-based tasks on two of the four possible conditions as shown below. [More]
